Member Benefits
Membership is available to individuals and the broader education community at both Standard and Premium Levels. Benefits for each level of membership are listed below. Our current members include school districts, intermediate units, public agencies, non-profit organizations, and companies.
For more specific information about the dues and specific levels of membership, visit the Membership Dues page.
All aspects of member involvement in the DLC described below are welcomed by DLC staff and are voluntary. We do not require any time commitment from members, with the exception of state affiliates, who agree to support DLC research in their state. State Affiliate Network - $5,000 annual membership
The DLC is building a network of professional membership organizations that share our mission. We will partner with you to be the lead voice of digital learning across your state through a membership program that allows you to participate as a premium member of the DLC network, while also providing specific resources to leaders and educators across your state. Organizations must apply to be an affiliate member.
DLC Affiliate members are:
An organization that is either an alliance (does not have to be a legal entity) of at least 5 organizations (schools, regional orgs, LEAs, SEAs, non-profits, companies, etc.) within a state, or an org that has deep supportive relationships with a range of schools and districts’ digital programs, online schools, state virtual schools, etc.
in alignment with the DLC Core Principles
Affiliates partner with the DLC to:
distribute and market DLC publications, content and professional learning opportunities with their network
participate in regular state affiliate leadership meetings
be the “voice” of the state in DLC state profiles, which will be published for the first time in 2021 and regularly updated
The DLC will:
work with each state affiliate to be the go-to information source in the state
list affiliate organizations on the DLC Membership page and on the state profile pages (when created)
share affiliate activities with the broader DLC membership and network
provide the associated benefits of a Standard Individual Membership to ten of your network members
In addition, state affiliates have the opportunity to work with the DLC in two additional ways, with possible additional fees and responsibilities to be determined case by case. State affiliates may:
